A statement that captures the essence of Lokatani’s mission to bring sustainable, quality farming to everyone, everywhere.
From A Small Field toward A Big Vision
Choliq, driven by a passion for farming and his background in optimization, started a small hydroponic garden at home. The success of the first pak choi harvest marked the beginning of our commitment to producing premium-quality vegetables. This humble start laid the groundwork for Lokatani's journey. With a focus on precision, Choliq and his team developed an IoT system to monitor and automate garden management. This innovation made it easier for farmers to control key variables like nutrients, pH, temperature, and humidity.
We launched our brand, Sayuran Pagi, selling produce to neighbors and friends. The pandemic increased the demand for healthy vegetables, intensifying our efforts to grow and refine our offerings.Sayuran Pagi expanded into the B2B market, partnering with farmers struggling to reach buyers. We introduced a planting schedule that allowed for consistent harvesting every two days, aligning with market needs.
Lokatani expanded into modern fresh markets and enhanced its IoT system based on farmer feedback, broadening its reach. In 2023, Lokatani's ecosystem generated over IDR 1.5 billion in revenue, though supply challenges arose. To support rapid growth, the company secured funding from Jakarta Ventura and initiated funding with Asiapay Capital. Lokatani also began building an integrated ecosystem, supported by IoT and an inventory management system, and launched LokaGrow to accelerate ecosystem development.
